We have optimized our CNC mill setups via standardized tooling, fixturing, programming, and material prep to ensure we have a repeatable and accurate process for complex, thin-walled aluminum parts up to 1" × 4" × 20".

While there is some concern about the health hazards of machining BeCu, we ensure that all machining is done with maximum flood coolant taking as large of a chip as possible. Most health hazards related to BeCu come from inhaling fine dust, which is typically only produced during dry grinding operations.

Live-tooling lathes allow for milling, drilling, and slotting to be performed in the same setup as the turning. This eliminates cumulative error caused by moving parts between machines and significantly reduces lead times for complex geometries.

While standard machining tolerances are often +/- .005”, our high-rigidity CNC centers routinely hold tolerances of +/- .0005” for critical dimensions in 6061 aluminum and niche alloys.
